New Society Application Form

Please ensure you complete all sections of this form carefully. From term 3 (April 2024), we will not be taking anymore new society applications until the start of the next academic year. New society applications need to include:


Clear aims and objectives

A sustainable and feasible plan for a variety of activities

3 minimum group leaders to run the society - this must include the mandatory positions of President, Vice President, and a third position. We cannot accept the position of Treasurer on any committee as the duties fall under Vice President.

15 minimum members interested in your society


You are advised to speak to the Opportunities team before submitting an application if you cannot meet this criteria. If you have any questions whilst completing the form, please email opportunities@su.ntu.ac.uk.


On submitting your application you will be invited for a meeting with an Opportunities Coordinator and/or the VP Opportunities to discuss your society. The ratification of new societies is then decided at the following Executive Meeting. Applications may also be discussed with current committees at Societies' Assembly. The dates for Societies' Assembly can be found here on the NTSU website.
